What We Believe

Who are the Friends

As a part of The Society of Friends (Quakers), we believe in Jesus Christ as our only Lord and Savior. We recognize that we all have something to learn about God as none of us have arrived at spiritual perfection. We try to do that together by discerning how God is at work in our lives through prayer and scripture. Since the 1600's Friends have consistently found themselves on the right side of history, including slavery, as some of the first abolitionists, prison reform, and social justice issues. Today our church maintains that history by reaching the people least likely to hear the gospel, the poor, the addicted, the disenfranchised. If you want to be a part of helping our community to grow and thrive, join us on Sunday.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried;

he descended into hell;

the third day he rose from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.
